We are excited to announce that the Lavaman Triathlon will be celebrating its 25th anniversary on April 7, 2024. Join us for this iconic event located on the Big Island of Hawaii at the Waikoloa Beach resort and fabulous Anaeho’omalu Bay. We have some special 25th anniversary items for all athletes.
Many of you have asked what the future of Lavaman would be. The Rott family has decided to keep the race in the family. Tyson and Erin Rott will remain owners of Lavaman and Perry Hacker will stay on as race director. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that Lavaman traditions will continue. Our commitment to give back to the island and to host the greatest party in triathlon, will not change.
Course Information:
Olympic Distance (1.5K Swim, 40K Bike and 10K Run) Swim at Anaehoomalu Bay at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. The Bike ride is out and back on the Queen Ka`ahumanu Hwy. then back into the resort. T1 & T2 are in the same location. The run is through the Waikoloa Beach Resort & the grounds of the Hilton Waikoloa Village and has varied terrain consisting of lava, sand, coral trail, road, lawn, & flagstone path with a beach finish. Trail shoes are recommended over racing flats.
