_ The 2023 Last Chance Tri - Mattoon:

Whether you’re a new triathlete or have several triathlons under your belt, the Last Chance Tri at the Mattoon YMCA is a great event for you! The swim portion of the race is held in the indoor pool at the Mattoon Area Family YMCA, and the bike and run segments also begin and end at the Y.

Need some support and motivation? Maybe you don’t like to swim or bike? You can enlist the help of a friend and register as a team of two or three! Registration is available online through September 23rd, and all participants who are registered by August 31 are guaranteed to receive a tech shirt.

Regular Registration (ends 9/23/23)– $70/person, $165/team
Race Day Registration– $75/person, $180/team

This triathlon consists of a 275 yard indoor pool swim, a 12 mile bike ride and finishes with a 3.1 mile run. All sections of the triathlon begin and end at the Mattoon Area Family YMCA. Pre-registration will include a tech shirt if registered by August 31, 2023.

Rules: Helmets are required and headphones are prohibited on the bike portion. We are NOT USAT sanctioned; however, USAT rules will be used as guidelines for race rules. For a complete listing of rules, go to USAT's Rule Book.
