_The 2023 TRI Columbus:

TRI Columbus is located in beautiful Columbus, Indiana in the Tipton Lakes neighborhood. The race is 8 minutes from the I65 Columbus/Bloomington exit. TRI Columbus was formally known as the Columbus Challenge Triathlon which ended in 2018. The Columbus Running Club has brought back the much loved event in partnership with Tri-812. The triathlon event is an 800m swim in Tipton Lakes (time trial start) followed by a 17.5 mile bike through the country and a 5k mostly flat run. The duathlon is a 5k run, 17.5 bike and a 5k run. Spectators are encourage to come as we will have entertainment and food available for families.

6:30 am - Transition Opens - you cannot enter transition prior to 6:30 am.

6:30-7:30 am - Packet Pickup - Must have ID - USAT Members must show membership card

7:45 am - Mandatory Race Meeting

8:00 am - Triathlon & Duathlon Start

10:30 - Awards Ceremony

Parking:

Parking will be provided along the streets of Tipton Lakes Neighborhood. Please be respectful to neighbors and do not block driveways or park on the grass.

Transition/Race Details:

Transition will be located in the Tipton Lakes Marina parking lot. Transition opens at 6:30 am and will close at 7:30 am. Please report to that location with your bike upon arriving. There will be a registration tent where you will need to check in to get your race bib. Body marking and timing chips will be located in the middle of transition.

Helmets are required to race. NO helmet - no race . Helmets must be worn anytime you are on your bike - including before and after the race.

Awards:

The overall male and female finishers will receive an award. We will also give awards to the top 3 male and female age group finishers for Sprint, Duathlon, Teams, Clydesdale and Athena divisions.
