Where – Lakeway City Park, 502 Hurst St, Lakeway, TX 78734
Race Description
The event takes place in Lakeway City Park overlooking the marina. The bike course features some rolling hills with car traffic kept at a minimum and police at several spots along the route. The Sprint duathletes will complete two loops of the approx 5 mile course. The run for both the Duathlon & 5K will be contained all within the Lakeway City Park with scenic views and gardens.

Race logistics and safety plans have been designed specifically for the PinkStrong Duathlon participants and spectators.
Race Distances
• Sprint Duathlon: 1.5m Run – 9.5m Bike – 2.5m Run
• Sprint Duathlon 2-Person Relay: 1.5m Run – 9.5m Bike – 2.5m Run
• 5K: 3m Run/Walk
Relays
For those who prefer to race one element of the duathlon, we offer a relay division. Relay teams consist of two(2) members (1 biker, 1 runner), each member will complete one sport of the race. Each team member will exchange their timing chip bracelet at their assigned bike rack.
Rules
The 2023 PinkStrong Duathlon will run in accordance with common USA Triathlon rules and as outlined in the Athlete Guide.

Course Time Limits
Each athlete will be given an ample *2.5* hours time limit to complete their multisport event and *90 mins* time limit to complete the 5K. No woman left behind and course/finish line will remain open till the last athlete crosses. Beginning after the last wave of runners crosses unto the course, there will be a two-hour cut-off time to complete both the first run leg and bike portions of the race. The cut-off time for the 5K begins once the last person enters the run course.

Easy Transfer & Deferral Policy
PinkStrong YMCA Camp Moody event swim takes place in a state-of-the-art swim center, with our monitored bike course on quiet country roads that surround the onion creek nature preserve and concludes with a run on the shay trails at traverse along side the creek with stunning views.
SWIM:
The swim leg occurs in a 10 lane pool swim in the YMCA competition Natatorium pool. Participants start at one side of the pool and snake their way up and down each lane as they work towards the other side of the pool. You will be provided with a swim cap if you choose to wear it.
BIKE:
The bike course is rolls through country county roads and onion creek neighborhoods. The roads are open to traffic – but traffic is usually fairly light and there will be police at major intersections and EMS motorcycles on the route.
RUN:
The 2 mile run course is on the Nature preserve along the tree-lined paths. The course is partially shaded and not 100% paved.
