Description
Pre-Registration Required Swim, Bike, and Run for Fun! This is a perfect starting point for kids to Try a Tri. The City of Iowa City TRYathlon is about completion not competition. All athletic levels are welcome. No prerequisites required. Kids can use shallow end of the pool to swim, training wheels to bike, and a little help from a parent to put shoes on after swimming.Youth ages 5-6 will compete a 20 yard swim, 1 mile bike, and a 600 yard run.Tri-athletes are required to pick up race packets on Friday, July 16th from 5-6 pm at Mercer Park Shelter #1. Packets or registration will NOT be available on race day.Tri-athletes and guardians are encouraged to review course maps and number of laps per leg prior to race day. Any questions should be addressed prior to race day.
The transition area will be open Saturday, July 17th from 7:50-8:20 am. Transition area will close five minutes prior to the first race. Only one parent with the proper wristband will be allowed in the transition area.
