  Kids Triathlon: For ages 6 – 12, age on race day, July 16, 2022
By Special Request: The Race will allow an older 5 year old to register, if they can meet the below requirements. Please note: Age 5  will be competing in the age 6 category. Parents, Please email [email protected] with your special request. 

Open to all skills levels but . . .  All children must be able to swim several laps of the pool, unassisted and ride a bike with pedals. 
For safety reasons, all athletes are required to wear a bike helmet and wear shoes riding bike and running. 

Location: The Woodlands Family YMCA at Branch Crossing, 8100 Ashlane Way in The Woodlands, TX. Early Bird Registration Fee is $35.
Early Bird Registration Deadline is June 16
Late Registration Fee is $40
Registration Deadline is July 12, based on space availability.
Fee includes an Event Shirt, Goodie Bag, and Finisher Medal. 

AWARDS:
Awards are presented to Overall top 3 finishers, Male and Female, for ages 6 - 9 and 10 - 12. In addition, top 3  finishers in each age category will be recognized: For example, Boy age 6, Girl age 6, Boy age 7, Girl Age 7 etc . . . 

Event is capped at 300 triathletes.  Triathlon Training Clinics: Led by Coach Amie Quinn and SelecTri. There is an additional fee for the clinics.

Packet Pick Up will be available at Branch Crossing YMCA, July 14 - 15, 9am - 8pm and on race day morning, July 16, 5;15 - 6:30am.

Annually, Hundreds of children experience the challenge and fun of friendly athletic competition as they run, swim and bike to the finish line of the YMCA Kids Triathlon.  In its 18+ years of promoting fitness and confidence in children, the Kids Triathlon, presented by Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands, benefits the YMCA Annual Campaign, which ensures everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive at the Y. "The Kids Triathlon provides children the chance to accomplish a goal while making new friends and feeling like they belong,” says Roxanne Davis, Community Liaison “And because proceeds from the event go to local Y programs like life-saving swim lessons and after school programs, it supports youth development and wellness beyond race day.” Triathlon: SWIM, BIKE, RUN!  Boys and girls will compete separately in events designed for their age group. Children ages 6 – 9 will swim 50 meters, cycle for 1 mile and run ¼ of a mile. Children ages 10 – 12 will swim 100 meters, cycle for 2 miles and run ½ mile.  Together as a community. The Kids Triathlon is made possible by generous sponsors, community members and volunteers.
