Join the Maryland Triathlon Club on Sunday, May 1 for the Terrapin Triathlon & 5K! Race the triathlon by yourself, sign up for a triathlon relay, or run the 5K. We welcome athletes of all levels; beginners can take advantage of the pool swim and looped bike course, while veterans can use the race as a tune-up for the upcoming season. Take advantage of the only triathlon hosted on the University of Maryland campus and sign up today!
Course Information:
Swim course: The swim is held in the pristine waters of University of Maryland's Olympic-sized swimming pool. Athletes will snake their way through eight lengths of the 50 meter pool for a total of 400 meters.
Bike course: The bike course consists of 3 loops around Univerisity of Maryland's beautiful campus totalling 11 miles.
Run Course: The run is an out and back, combining sections of UMD's campus and the Paint Branch Trail. The race finishes in front of Eppley Recreation Center with music and spectators, athletes, and an announcer all cheering you on.
