A morning run followed by some quick mountain biking laps, capped with paddling around Binder Lake feels like a perfect day for an outdoor connoisseur with too many hobbies to pick a favorite. Join JC Parks for an afternoon of enjoying our favorite activities at beautiful Binder Park.

Course Information:

Check-in for the challenge will be held between 8-9:30 a.m. All participants need to have their equipment staged i.e. boat and bike ready to go by 9:30 a.m. We will begin our mandatory safety meeting promptly at 9:30 a.m.

The challenge will begin at 10:00am with the run segment. Each participant will complete 2 laps (2.8 miles) before you can transition to the bike segment. If you registered for the tandem category, only 1 person is required to complete the 2 laps. If you desire, each participant is welcome to run, but it's not mandatory for the challenge.

Once the run segment elapses, the bike segment will begin. The course will circumnavigate the green and blue trails that will cover approximately 7 miles of single-track. The course will be well-marked, so those unfamiliar with our trail network shouldn't have issues with wayfinding. You only need to complete 1 lap on the mountain bike course before you can transition to the final paddle segment. If you registered for the tandem category, only 1 person from your team needs to complete the bike segment. If you desire, each participant is welcome to bike, but it's not mandatory for the challenge

Once the bike segment elapses, you will transition to the paddle. Each division (solo and tandem) will need to complete 2 laps on the well-marked course. Tandem racers are required to finish this segment together in the same boat. The paddle distance for 2 laps will be approximately 4 miles. After your second lap is complete, the clock stops when you pull onto the beach where we started. Challenge complete. Party time!

After the challenge is complete, we will host our award ceremony. The award ceremony is scheduled at 3:00pm, but if everyone finishes before then, we can adjust the schedule to make it earlier. We plan to have food and drink provided, so hangout if your schedule allows.
