New Date: 10/9/2022

For the safety of our participants, volunteers and staff the race has been postponed due to predicted inclement weather resulting from hurricane Ian.  This race has been postponed until 10/9.  You will have three options regarding your registration:  Race on 10/9, transfer to any 2023 event, defer to Lake Lanier Tri 2023.

Course Descriptions:

• Swim: Time trial start. Rectangular swim. Water temperature should be in the mid 70’s.

• Bike: Looped course that is very fast with only one small hill on the course.

• Run: Very fast out and back flat terrain with lots of shade during the entire course.

Completion Timelines:

Georgia MultiSports Productions for safety reason has established a course and race completion timelines as follows:

• Swim: 30 minutes or course officials will assist you from course.

• Bike: 1 and 1/2 hours or total of 2 hours of swim and bike.

• Run: 45 minutes or total of 2 and a 45 minutes to complete the race.

  You may be asked to return your timing chip and will not receive an official time if you choose to complete the event it will be without course security or support.

Wetsuits:

Each age group participant shall be permitted to wear a wet suit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit. When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees Fahrenheit, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however that participants who wear a wet suit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. Age group participants shall not wear wet suits in water temperatures equal to or greater than 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
