NM's longest running race - a definite NM tradition!
Sprint Triathlon Each racer must provide the time that they expect to take to finish the 400-meter swim. The start order will be assigned according to the seed times, with the fastest seed going first. The start order is also subject to the judgement of the Race Committee, and may be based on past performance.
The order will be posted at packet pickup on August 5. Swimmers will be started approximately every five to fifteen seconds. The starters will use their best judgement in the spacing of swimmers.
Sprint-Distance Race [Overview Map] [Transition Area Map]
Swim: The swim is 400 meters (8 lengths of the pool). Swimmers will enter at the southeast-most lane of the pool, swim one length (50 meters), and move to the next lane. Swimmers must stay on the right and pass on the left. [Leg Map] [GPX]

It proceeds west on Bullock, turns around the New Mexico Tech campus on Olive, turns west on the golf course road, and then north on the Escondida road to the first turnaround point at the I-25 underpass.
