2022 Mahopac Tyathlon - Sprint Triathlon & 5K Run/Walk
Please join us on September 10 at Lake Mahopac as we swim, bike, run (or walk) in support of pediatric cancer research! Our 10th Annual TYathlon consists of a sprint triathlon and family-friendly 5K walk/run to raise funds to support the Ty Louis Campbell Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell. Through this investment, TLC pays the salary of an experienced doctor/researcher who is dedicated to collecting genetic bio-information on all types of pediatric brain tumor samples in order to provide individual treatment protocols with precision medicine to children battling cancer. Your support is of TREMENDOUS value to this organization, and it truly helps move the needle forward in making these events a success in memory of Ty. We hope you will celebrate 10 years of important work with us!
Course Information:
TRIATHLON SPRINT DISTANCES
SWIM = 1/4 Mile, in the water start
Waves are assigned based on age, with Elites entering the water first
Swim caps are required, but will be provided to all triathletes at packet pickup
BIKE = 10.5 miles, two (2) laps around Lake Mahopac
Helmets are required (not provided)
RUN = 3 miles, out and back around Lake Mahopac
(A complete Athlete Race Guide will be sent out to all registered participants approximately one week prior to the race. )
Directions:
On-site parking is available for all triathletes. Lake Mahopac, NY is only about an hour drive north of NYC!
