_ The 2022 World Trade Center Stair Climb:
1,980 steps in the Towers that fell on 9/11. That's 17 times up & down 120 stairs in the Lake Co. Fairgrounds Grandstand. You will be given 17 pennies, dropping off 1 after each lap completed. When your pennies are gone, you are finsihed! Are you up for the challenge?
Before the event, you will be given the name of a Firefighter or Police Officer who died on 9/11 & for whom they will be climbing. This will allow you to look up your hero & even bring their picture with you. (List will be updated before event).
Cost thru 9/9: $20 all ages. After 9/9: $25 all ages. Shirts extra $15 thru 9/1. Police, Firefighter, EMT & Nurse Discount : Save $5 by using code First5 at checkout when registering online. Please show proof of service (badge, ID, etc) at packet pickup.
A smaller climb of 354 steps (the number of steps in the Statue of Liberty) is also available for $15 all ages thru 9/8. After 9/8 thru Event Day: $25. Event supports local First Responders in Crown Point.
Sign in/packet pickup starts at 5 pm before the event.
