_The 2022 VCHS ~ Band on the Run Event:

The Valley Center High School Marching Band is excited to announce their 2nd Annual 5k/1mile Fun Run/Walk!! Event will be held at the Sedgwick County Park, beginning at the Horseshoe shelter house.  Event will include the AMAZING pep band and AWESOME Colorguard as they perform at the Start/Finish line as well as throughout the course.  Food trucks will be on site.  For those not able to join us for the event, but wishing to participate, we will also have a virtual run option available.  All proceeds will go directly to support this incredible band and their many competitive performances throughout the state.  Come support your local Valley Center High School Marching Band!!

The race will include a 5k Fun Run and 1 mile Fun Walk.  All ages are welcome to participate.  Event will be hosted by The Timer Guys of Wichita and Sedgwick County Park.  Music will be provided throughout the course by the Valley Center High School Marching Band and the Valley Center High School Jazz Band.  

Runners will be able to pick up their running packets on Friday, 03/04/2022, at Fleet Feet (East side only) from 4p-5:30p, or at the Horseshoe Shelter House at Sedgwick County Park on Saturday, 03/05/2022, beginning at 8a until the start of the race.  Participants are able to sign up online through 03/03/2022, as well as in person at Fleet Feet on 03/04/2022, and AT the event prior to the race.  Please see the signup page for pricing details.  If you would like to participate in the virtual race, entries will only be accepted through 02/25/2022.  Shirts are only guaranteed for registrants through 02/14/2022, after 02/15/2022 by availability only.
