Named to the top 5 races in the 2011 Triathletes Choice Race of the Year the Maple Grove Triathlon: Dare to TRI presents an exciting late-season race experience. As an athlete and spectator focused event its simply the kind of competitive venue youve been waiting for and cant afford to miss!

Pro, elite and amateur triathletes and those considering joining one of the fastest growing sport in the country: we DARE you to TRI with us in 2012! Individual Sprint and Olympic races will be featured in addition to TriStar111 returning for its second year. Registration for the 111 event is also available on Active.com. All participants receive a custom designed race shirt, swim cap, official race hardware made from pure stainless steel in addition to a post race meal. Plus, enjoy the comfort of a spacious transition area in a race venue that boasts 80 acres of event space. A convenient athlete drop-off and free parking shuttles for spectators and fans makes getting to the race easy and hassle-free.

From start to finish, the Maple Grove Triathlon is supported by the involvement of numerous community organizations. A portion of all event proceeds will benefit these groups allowing them to also thrive in their community endeavors.

Triathletes thrive in Weaver Lake Parks 80 acres of event space where the event will start and finish. In 2011, two challenging distances will be offered. Which dare will you accept?

Dare to Sprint
Swim: .3 miles/.48 km
Bike: 14 miles/22.5 km
Run: 3 miles/4.8 km

The Olympic Dare 
Swim: .9 miles/1.5 km
Bike: 26 miles/42 km 
Run: 6.2 miles/10 km

Weaver Lake Park Upper Lot Entrance
Service at its best! If riding with a family member or friend, simply drive to our drop-off site (located off 82nd Avenue North) where volunteers are ready to welcome you. Here you can prepare and unload your gear close to the park without the rush of parking and walking on your own. Volunteers will direct you to the transition area and drivers will be directed to one of the two parking lots.
 
From 94 West
Exit on Weaver Lake Road, turn left and go west across the bridge. Drive approximately 1.6 miles to Dunkirk Lane. Turn left at the stop light, drive past the main park entrance .4 miles to the stop sign at 82nd Avenue North. Turn right on 82nd Avenue North and drive .4 miles to parking lot entrance on your right.
 
From 94 East
Exit on Weaver Lake Road, turn right and go west. Drive approximately 1.6 miles to Dunkirk Lane. Turn left at the stop light, drive past the main park entrance .4 miles to the stop sign at 82nd Avenue North. Turn right on 82nd Avenue North and drive .4 miles to parking lot entrance on your right.

Easily park in the Weaver Lake Elementary School lot and walk just blocks to the park entrance. Please allow approximately 10 minutes to park and walk.

Exit on Weaver Lake Road, turn left and go west across the bridge. Drive approximately 1.1 miles to the school on your right.
 
From 94 East 
Exit on Weaver Lake Road, turn right and go west. Drive approximately 1.1 miles to the school on your right.

Shuttle buses will be available from this location to Weaver Lake Park and back. Volunteers will be available to assist with bus transportation.
