2012 Chase the Sundown Kids Triathlon:
- Come be a part of this inaugural event!
- Chase the Sundown Kids Triathlon will be held the afternoon of May 12, 2012, the day before the 16th annual Four States Triathlon.
- Chase the Sundown Kids triathlon is a great triathlon for kids beginning the sport as well as those kids who have competed in many triathlons before.
- We will use the USAT Triathlon recommended competition distances for Youth racers.
- This race will be a chip-timed event with 5 full splits.

Run 12 mile

Bike 4 miles
Run 1 mile
Swim:- The swim portion will be an open-water swim along the shallow shore of Lake Wright Patman.
- We will have many qualified volunteers posted in the water to assist any participant.
- This is a very shallow section of the lake and most children will be able to touch the bottom of the lake during the swim portion.
Bike: - The bike leg is on lightly shaded blacktop roads around beautiful Lake Wright Patman.
Run: - The run portion will be on blacktop roads with very minimal hills.
- Volunteers will be stationed all along the course to encourage your child and to maintain safety for the participants.
Directions:
- Lake Wright-Patman is located just south of Texarkana off highway 59.
