NORTH AMERICAN JUNIOR INVITATIONAL: : Ages 12-17
Back for 2012! The Life Time Minneapolis Triathlon will be hosting the North American Junior Triathlon Invitational an exciting race-within-the-race for Juniors 12-17 years of age. Individual age group and team awards will all be presented. Take advantage of exclusive giveaways, awards and reduced pricing.
Join individuals and teams from across Canada and the U.S. and compete in a special wave within one of the top triathlons in the country: the Life Time Minneapolis Triathlon.

DIVISIONS and AWARDS
This unique Junior/Youth format will present individual awards for the following age groups: 12-13, 14-15 and 16-17. Awards will be presented to the top 5 places for both male and females. A team award will be presented for the top-scoring team across all categories.
All participants receive a t-shirt, goodie-bag, swim cap, bib number, finisher medal, post-race food and more.
REGISTRATION
Individual registration is available for $80. USAT, USS and other teams qualify for special pricing. Please contact [email protected] for more info. While this event is open to all athletes, there is a minimum standard that must be met to ensure the safety of all participants. Junior athletes must:1) have previous competed in a minimum of one triathlon or competed for a minimum of 2 years within an organized swim team/club AND 2) be able to swim a minimum of 1/4 mile unassisted in open water.
Course Information:
Experience one of Triathlete Magazines Top 5 Urban Races and share the same water, roads and paths as some of the top athletes in the sport. This Sprint race will take place as a unique wave within the adult race. It will start after the last long-course wave and the first adult sprint waves.

Parking
Parking is available on residential streets surrounding the course. Parking is not permitted on the bike portion of the course or at the race site. Please find parking in the residential areas around the race site and be courteous of private residences.
