_ The 2021 Tri-Shark Classic:

The Tri-Shark Classic Triathlon and Duathlon is the Bloomington-Normal area's premier Triathlon/Duathlon event. This Sprint Triathlon/Duathlon course boasts a flat, fast course through Comlara Park and surrounding areas.

We are so excited to bring the Tri-Shark Classic back again on June 5th this year.
In order to do so, we needed to make some changes to allow a safe event for our participants and volunteers. The safety of everyone involved is our number one priority. 

For 2021, the Tri-Shark Classic will be a Duathlon only event.  
In the best interest of the safety of participants, volunteers and event staff we are holding Duathlon only Tri-Shark Classic.  The limitations of our swim venue do not allow for safe distancing of participants and volunteers.

HAVE A DEFERRED ENTRY?
For our participants who elected to defer their 2020 registration, you are entitled to one free entry for yourself into the 2021 event. You will receive a separate email on Tuesday, April 13 with instructions for completing your 2021 registration.  This email will have your dedicated link to register for one of two choices:
1. Registration for the In-Person 2021 Tri-Shark Classic Duathlon
2. Registration for the Virtual Tri-Shark Classic Triathlon or Duathlon where you can complete from anywhere 

YOU WILL HAVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT ON SUNDAY, APRIL 25 TO COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION! Your complimentary entry will expire after this time. The 2021 Tri-Shark Classic will start in socially distanced waves and you will be able to select your start time when registering. Because wave start times will be assigned on a first come, first served basis, please register early if you want a specific start time.

WANT TO GET INTO TRI-SHARK CLASSIC BUT DON’T HAVE A DEFFERED ENTRY?
If you do not have a deferral from 2020, we expect to have a VERY LIMITED number of spots available. We will open registration for additional participants at 9am on Monday, May 3rd! Mark your calendar for this time if you would like to register. Spots will be extremely limited and we expect to go very quickly. 

Virtual Participants - Submitting Your Result
Joining us for the Virtual Race?  An important part of this Virtual Race is submitting your time so that you can see how you rank, much like a traditional race.  Beginning June 5th you will be able to submit your time.  To submit your virtual times, click on the link below.  (Note: link will not work and you cannot submit a result prior to June 5th)  By your name, click EDIT TIME.  You can submit results from June 5th - June 7th.  Final results will be available at the same link June 8th.
