2012 Atomic Man Triathlon:

  • Atomic Man, in its 11th year, is Tennessee's only half iron distance event.
  • 3 rest stations on bike course and 1 every mile on Atomic run course.
  • Swim is 2 loop course in Melton Hill Lake--wetsuit legal.
  • Great post race food provided by The Pizza Kitchen.
  • Expected participation--200.

  • 56 mile, one loop bike course.
  • 3 rest stations on bike course.

  • 1 rest station every mile on AtomicMan run course.

    • Directions:


  • The TVA Melton Hill Recreation Area is located outside Lenoir City, TN just off Hwy 321/95.
  • The race site is about 30 miles West of Knoxville.
  • From I-40 exit #364 towards Oak Ridge approximately 1/2 mile to park entrance on your RIGHT.
  • Look for Race Day Events banner!
  • The three large parking lots are 1.3 miles into the park on the left before the dam hill.
  • Camping on site.
  • Hot showers!
