2011 Huntersville Sprint Triathlon:
A great early season triathlon for both beginners and veterans alike. The HFFA is a fantastic facility with a large 50m pool. There is a warm up pool as well as indoor bathrooms for participants and spectators. This year the event will go back to the traditional pool swim format of a 400 yard swim. Come join us!
Swim:
Participants will be seeded according to 100-yard swim time (pace) submitted and go off every 10 seconds. The swim will be 400 meters and participants will snake through the lanes from one end of the pool to the other. Swim caps are not provided for pool swim events. If you would like to wear a swim cap, then be sure to bring your own.
Bike:
The 20K bike course for the Huntersville Sprint Triathlon is a one-loop design. The course is best described as moderately hilly. The roads are mostly two-lane and will be open to vehicular traffic, but should be relatively light on race morning. The western half of this course will be familiar to participants who race in the Tri Latta Triathlon.
Run:
The 5K run course is comprised of an out and back on roads.
