This is the perfect race to begin you triathlon career. In the beautiful and scenic foothills west of Denver you will embark upon a short but challenging race. Swimming the Mount Vernon C.C. pool, followed by cycling through hilly roads of Lookout Mountain, and finally running on the dirt roads of Mt. Vernon Country Club. At the finish you'll find free Ska Beer and the best brunch in all of triathlon. Great prizes, schwag, finisher towels, and more.
Course Information:
525 yard swim in the Mount Vernon Canyon Club pool with several lifeguards keeping all racers safe and volunteers counting your laps.
10 mile bike on the roads of Lookout Mountain including 2 short but steep climbs.
3 mile run on the dirt roads of Mount Vernon Country Club with aid stations every mile.
Directions:
Coming from Denver take I-70 west to the Genesee exit 254. Turn north and follow Mt. Vernon Rd. into the Country Club. As you approach the clubhouse you will be directed to park in a field directly south of the transition area.
