2009 The Happy Valley Sprint Triathlon

The Happy Valley Sprint Tri is a fun, fast, sprint-distance triathlon that is perfect for beginners as well as a great place for more experienced triathletes to test their speed.

The triathlon is held on and around Penn States University Park campus.

Swim 750 meters, Bike 20K, Run 5K.

Course Information:

The race starts in multiple heats, with 4 people per lane in PSU's outdoor, 50m pool. The swim is 750m.

Swimmers will then run to their bikes and begin the 20k bike course out past the University Park Airport and back on gently rolling hills.

The 5k run takes runners past the new Dickinson Law School building and offers views of Beaver Stadium, Mount Nittany, and other PSU landmarks.

Post race food includes barbeque pork from Clem's BBQ at the awards presentation.
