"We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Woodtrace Wilderness Kids Triathlon due to COVID-19, however the safety of our participants, volunteers, residents and staff is our highest priority. We look forward to bringing you this fun, family event again in 2021!"
This Kid's Triathlon is nestled back in the woods of this brand new housing development. Your kids and family get to see your children run around the scenic lake and swim in their brand new pool. We will have two distances: Ages are determined to be as of 12/31/2020.
SHORT COURSE - Ages 5 to 10 will do a 100 yard Swim, 2 mile Bike, & 1 mile Run
LONG COURSE - Ages 11-15 will do a 200 yard Swim, 4 mile Bike, & 2 mile Run
The Triathlon Swimming Portion will be held in the Swimming Pool.
Course Information:
Swim Course - Snake swim in pool
Junior Athletes = 100 yards
Senior Athletes = 200 yards
Bike Course
Junior Athletes = 1 Loop = 2 Miles Seniors = 2 Loops = 4 Miles
Course Info:
Police will be located at all major intersections along with volunteers at key locations.
Cones will mark a lane all the way round the course to enclose the athletes from any vehicles.
Run Course
Junior Athletes = 1 Loop = 1 Mile Senior Athletes = 2 Loops = 2 Miles
There will be a Water Station located as athletes come out of transition and when they make their second loop.
Course follows the trail around the lake of the community. Run Number Bib must be worn during the run portion of the race.
