_ The African American Male Wellness 5K Run/Walk:
JOIN US for the African American Male Wellness Initiative 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 9:30 am.
For more than 15 years the AAWALK Initiative has raised awareness of preventable health diseases that are killing black men and families in the urban communities across the country. Impacting more than 100,000 people nationwide, this initiative has provided screenings and material distribution in such health areas as blood pressure, blood glucose, diabetes, prostate, HIV, dental, vision, sexually transmitted disease, colon assessments and more. In addition to direct services and information provided to the communities, this initiative has partnered with thousands of individuals and organizations across the US over the years to empower communities by raising awareness and providing resources.

START TIME:
5K: 9:30am
COURSE:
This course is relatively flat starting on Westview Drive and circles Morehouse School of Medicine going up Joseph E. Lowery Blvd and past BT Harvey Stadium to TP Burruss then, winding down back through Morehouse campus and finishing at Morehouse School of Medicine.
PARKING:
Free parking at 436 Lee Street, Morehouse School of Medicine parking deck.
RESTROOMS:
Restrooms will be open on the lower level of Building A at the start/finish area on Morehouse School of Medicine campus.
REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN:
You may register and pick up your bib in the atrium area off of 720 Westview Drive through the main security gate beginning at 8:00am.
HEALTH SCREENINGS:
FREE male health screenings in tents at the atrium area with 10 doctors on site beginning at 7:00am.
