Scramble around historic Martinez and the rural Carquinez shoreline for a fun 5k or 10k adventure, or go for the whole enchilada: a 26.2 mile map-marathon covering both sides of the scenic Carquinez Strait, adding the towns of Port Costa, Crockett, Vallejo, and Benicia (and crossing the pedestrian/bike path on both of the Carquinez and Martinez bridges). In teams of 1 to 5, using a custom 1:15000, you'll find up to 30 checkpoints, answering a simple multiple-choice question at each. For 26.2 mile participants, there's a bike-assisted “Ride and Tie" division. Enjoy socializing and refreshments afterwards.
