Course Information:
The Berkeley Triathlon Foundation is proud to announce that on October 8th, 2011 we will be holding the 9th annual Berkeley Bearathlon! This year we will be holding an open aquathlon in addition to our olympic-distance triathlon. We are also featuring a brand new course that runs through beautiful Lake Temescal, Redwood, and Chabot regional parks near Berkeley. The mile swim takes place in Lake Temescal and is ITU style with racers completing two laps around the lake. The course is highlighted by a challenging, but rewarding 24-mile bike with over 1000ft of climbing. The course finishes with a 10k run through the Piedmont hills.
