_ The 36th Annual Mountain Man Olympic and Long Course Triathlon:
Experience one of the Southwest’s best venues. This local, family-run event is the 5th oldest triathlon West of the Mississippi River. The race course includes breathtaking views of the San Francisco Peaks, Lake Mary, and Mormon Lake. Right after the monsoon season with flora in full bloom. This is our 36th annual event with medals for all finishers, handcrafted awards, food, fun, and a great course. The Upper Lake Mary boat docks are about ten miles south of Flagstaff, AZ on Lake Mary Road at mile post 333. RFID Race Timing Systems by 4Peaks Racing.
Course Information:
The swim is in the City of Flagstaff Reservoir: Upper Lake Mary. Average lake temperature is 70° F. Wetsuits OK. Wave starts. Long Course swim cutoff: 1 hour 10 minutes.
The bike has beautiful vistas of lakes, mountains, and forest. It is an out and back for the Olympic course on paved roads with wide bike shoulders. The Long Course bike is out and back with the turnaround a mile past the Discovery Telescope near Happy Jack. Long Course has some hills with nothing bigger than a 395 ft climb, and great views of San Francisco Peaks. Long Course bike cut off is 5:00 hours. You will not be allowed to start the run if you enter transition past this time.
The run is an out and back run on paved roads along beautiful Lake Mary. Courses climb a decent hill (385') and are otherwise flat. Race numbers must be worn and visible from the front. Water aid stations are every 1.5 miles.

HERE is a google map of the area. It gives directions from downtown Flagstaff. We are only a two hour drive from the major city of Phoenix.
Other Info:
We offer Aquabike and Athena/Clyesdale division. We have multiple packet pick ups to make is easier for athletes, we even have morning of as long as you get there early. This a wonderful race for your whole crew and family. There is no better place to race in the summer!
