Description
A great way to cool down from hot summer temperatures is to hop on your bike and ride to the coast. Onslow County is partnering with the Bicycle Shop to host a 21-mile bike ride from the city to the sea on Sunday, September 29th at 2 p.m. The ride will begin at Food Lion parking lot on Piney Green and end at Hammocks Beach State Park with refreshments, fellowship, and prizes. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, but if you miss online registration you can register the day of the event at 1:30 p.m. Event is free and open to everyone. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Riders must provide return transportation. It is recommended that all riders be in good physical condition and that all use proper safety equipment including bike helmets.
