_ The 2019 DSSW Parade of Stars:
What is This?
The Parade of Stars: Down Syndrome Awareness Day of Giving is the largest event sponsored by the Down Syndrome Society of Wichita. This event, formerly known as the Buddy Walk, is a one-mile parade route, along with our annual (and largest) day of giving AND largest opportunity for volunteers to show their support! The parade route is followed by lunch for all, a community vendor fair and fun activities! Over the past 15 years, the event has included bounce houses, clowns, music, dancing, games, face painting, basket drawings, photo booth, and much more! The purpose of the walk is to help promote awareness, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. It is an inspirational and educational event that celebrates the many abilities and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome.
Last year's event had a great impact on our community! We had 2,500 participants and raised over $95,000! This fun family event would not be possible without our participants, donors, sponsors, and the dedication of our planning team. We are looking forward to a great day of celebration.
Who are We?

While our name ends with Wichita, our serving area stretches across the lower one-third portion of Kansas - all the way to Liberal. We provide resources, tools and connections for families starting at birth throughout their lives.
This year, we've added some new and exciting things to the mix:
All sales are final. No refunds.
