_ The 4th Annual Boise, ID Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k:

The 4th Annual Boise, ID Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019.  All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

This annual event was started by Boise mom, Megan Herrett. Megan contacted United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA) about bringing this event to Boise, Idaho. Her passion for ostomy awareness was born from a personal connection - both of her young children had their ostomies placed when they were infants. Megan and her husband, Matt, have worked with their children to help them feel comfortable with their difference - after all, their ostomies saved their lives! But they quickly realized that working with their children was only one piece of the puzzle. Megan and Matt are passionate about bringing awareness to the larger community, and ensuring that everyone who has - or who may have - ostomy surgery - knows that there is support available as they discover their resilience and adjust to their "new normal" life.

Join us on Saturday, October 12th for this fun, inspiring, and empowering Timed Run/Walk 5k event!
