_ The 2020 Run To Rescue 5k Run/Walk Fitness Challenge & 1/4 Mile Youth Event:
This fun 5k challenge will be held at the training academy for southern Arizona police and fire - using their actual grounds for the challenges! This run/walk is a twist on the typical 5k - the event will start with fitness challenges to complete - then you start out on start your run, at the half, you will be tested again then you start back on the run - with a final challenge before crossing the finish line! Along with music,vendors and static displays from first responder departments, we will have food and more at the finish line! This will be a fun family event with prizes and more! The fitness challenges will follow a first responder PT test to give you an idea of how well you would do! (Of course the challenge exercises are optional but required if you want your time to qualify for an overall prize!) The 1/4 youth (age 10 and under) fun obstacle event begins around 9:30am.
Packet Pick Up: Day of event - begins at 7:45am --- Packet Pick up on Thursday February 7th - 11am until 1:00pm - Tucson Police Dept "Patrick Hardesty Substation" at the corner of Alvernon and 22nd Street.
