_ The 2019 Action Martial Arts Black Belt Challenge 5k and Fun Run:
Inspired by the actual black belt test at Action Martial Arts, runners will challenge their endurance and strength by running a 5k and then facing a series of martial arts challenges, including punching, kicking, and more. People of all ages and athletic abilities are invited to test their limits at this original and exciting take on the adventure race. No martial arts experience necessary!
Feeling like the 5k might be too much? All are welcome to join the Fun Run, a just-for-fun event designed for younger participants. Run or walk your way through a 1-mile course, and then stay to play! Festivities will include bouncy houses, martial arts games, food trucks, and more. Don’t miss this opportunity to try some real martial arts moves!
Our #1 goal at Action Martial Arts is to create an emotionally powerful and physically strong Birmingham. Proceeds from the Black Belt Challenge 5k and Fun Run will be used to support local self-defense events and courses, including anti-bullying programs in elementary schools, self-defense for college women, and women’s self-defense seminars.
