The Hampton Roads Sports Commission, in conjunction with Water Country USA, will host the inaugural Water Country USA Kids Triathlon. The Water Country USA Kids Triathlon offers youth athletes, experienced and first-timers alike, the unique opportunity to swim, bike and run in and around Water Country USA.
Boys and girls ages 6-10 (junior varsity division) and 11-14 (varsity division) are eligible to participate. Registrants receive a complimentary ‘Stay and Play’ ticket to Water Country USA, valid on June 1 or June 2, 2019 only. All participants receive a race-day ‘Swag Bag’, including an official race shirt, in addition to a finisher’s medal upon completion of the race. The top three male and female finishers in each age group category will earn a trophy. The five age categories are 6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. The age group of a participant will be determined by age on Dec. 31 of the event year.
