The ALABAMA BACKROADS CENTURY SERIES consists of 11 cycling events across the State, all supporting multiple distances with a century route always included. Events provide well-supplied rest stops, SAG vehicles, Ride with GPS links, bib numbers/wrist bands, "ice towels" in hot weather, and post-ride lunch.
As cyclists complete their 4th century, they are awarded an embroidered patch in the shape of Alabama and showing all ride locations.
Each century accomplished earns them a quality medal with ride name, location, and date.
Finishing at least 10 centuries earns the CHAMPION status and the Primal Wear CHAMPION jersey as well as an invitation to the end-of-year CHAMPION Banquet.
Course Information:
Event routes are clearly marked either with on-road paint or printed signage. Ride with GPS links are provided through the ABCS website with an Event link to give free turn-by-turn instructions. Also shown is the elevation profile for all routes.
