For 2019, NYTT has partnered with the Cheshire Community YMCA to make the Nutmeg Splash and Dash a Race4Chase fundraiser.
Since its inception in 2014, the NYTT coaching staff has prided itself in teaching youth in Connecticut lifeskills through the sport of triathlon. The Race4Chase program is another avenue for us to give back to the triathlon community.
The Race4Chase Kid’s Triathlon program is a youth triathlon program aimed to provide kids aged 6 to 12 with a safe, healthy non-competitive environment to discover the sport of triathlon. It bring together kids from all different backgrounds and educates them on how to adopt a healthy lifestyle, coaches them to develop a foundation of athletic skills, and inspires them to aim high in sports and in life.
The Cheshire YMCA began its Race4Chase program in 2018 with 28 campers. Proceeds from the Nutmeg Splash and Dash will be used to ensure that this program continues to thrive.
