_ The 2019 Hike For Hearing:

Delta Zeta is excited to be hosting their third annual Hike for Hearing. This year our race will be chipped time, and we are so excited that everyone will be coming out to help our philanthropy of Speech and Hearing. Delta Zeta Sorority does philanthropy because it changes lives. The lives of Delta Zetas are changed through giving; which in turn changes the lives of humanitarians and the charitable organizations with whom we partner, and the lives of those who benefit from our mutual efforts.

As the only premier women’s organization with a focus on speech and hearing, we use our philanthropy to protect hearing, raise awareness of noise-induced hearing loss and to bring the gift of hearing to non-hearing people around the world. Speech and Hearing have been our philanthropy focus since 1954. And now, thanks to our partnership with Starkey Hearing Foundation whose missions help the world to hear, we can use philanthropy to improve lives through spoken communications.

Our goal to raise $5,000,000 through Delta Zeta’s Hike for Hearing will help the Starkey Hearing Foundation realize a dream to open speech clinics for those who have only just begun to hear.

Race details: The race will take place on AUM’s campus (8160 AUM Drive, Montgomery, AL 36116). It will a time race. Bibs can be picked up that morning starting at 7:00 am. The race will start at 8:00 am. The track will be marked. T Shirts will only be guaranteed for those that pre-register. Anyone who registers after February 28th will be given a shirt based on a first come first served basis while we still have shirts available.
