2011 Wallowa Lake State Park Triathlon:

Come join us for the first annual Wallowa Lake State Park Triathlon: Race to End Abuse in Joseph, Oregon.

Wallowa Lake State Park and Safe Harbors Domestic and Sexual Violence Service Provider Non-profit are proud to invite you to this sprint length race nestled in the beautiful Wallowa Mountains.

All proceeds from the race will benefit Safe Harbors, a local non-profit that works to provide assistance to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and to provide community education to break the cycle of violence.

Course Information:

Swim in the pristine waters of Wallowa Lake.

Bike through the charming town of Joseph enjoying a collection of renowned bronze sculptures.

Run through the cozy resort community of Wallowa Lake.

Other Info:

The race will be hosted and co-sponsored by Wallowa Lake State Park, the oldest state park in eastern Oregon founded in 1951.

Racers can enjoy a variety of recreational opportunities mere minutes away from the park including taking a ride on the Wallowa Lake Tramway to the top of Mt. Howard, fishing in the lake for kokanee and trout, and hiking one of the many trails throughout the Eagle Cap Wilderness.

To relax, enjoy the town of Joseph with its multiple bronze foundries, local breweries, art galleries, and fine dining.

We're sure you will fall in love with this corner of Oregon while racing to support a great cause.
