_ The 2018 UIU 5K/1 Mile Fun Run For Childhood Obesity Awareness:

ON YOUR MARK...GET SET...GO!!!

UIU-Dallas is excited to present to you our first ever 5K fun run! Join us on September 22nd at Bachman Lake Park in Dallas for a morning 3 mile run. There will also be a 1 mile run option with various obstacles for beginning runners and younger children! There will be food, vendor tables, a DJ, and more! Registration includes post-race snacks and a UIU-Dallas 5K tee!

September is Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, so what better month to have a 5K to support the future leaders of our nation. We are asking everyone to come out and support this wonderful cause!  A portion of the proceeds will go to UIUCares. 

UIUCares is the community service arm of Umu Igbo Unite. The mission of UIU Cares is to support Igbo youth and adults in Nigeria who face a variety of hardships common within the diaspora. Adults are $35

UIU Members are $20

Kids 12-17 years old are $15

Kids under 12 are FREE!

The race is open to everyone and participants will come from all different ages, shapes, sizes, and running levels so share the invite with family, friends, coworkers, etc.

7:30AM- 8:30 AM REGISTRATION OPEN- participants to pick up t-shirt and running bib. Unregistered participants can pay and register

8:30AM- GROUP STRETCHING/ WARM-UP

8:45AM- 1MILE FUN RUNNERS TAKE OFF!

8:50AM- 5K RUNNERS TAKE OFF!

*LATE ARRIVERS CAN BEGIN AND RUN THE ROUTE AT THEIR LEISURE!
