A scenic one-day bicycle tour in Cochise County, Arizona. Sky Islands are known in the southwest as mountain ranges surrounded by radically different lowland environments. All Sky Island tour rides are a loop, beginning and ending at the Windemere Hotel in Sierra Vista, AZ.

All rides include a free t-shirt!

Metric Century:

The metric century 62-mile bicycle ride takes place on mostly rural roads with a sufficient shoulder width to provide a comfortable ride for the intermediate to advanced rider. The ride passes through Historic Bisbee, Arizona (www.discoverbisbee.com) and twice crosses over the San Pedro River. Two support stops will provide water, performance drink, and snacks. Restaurants in Bisbee also offer an opportunity to eat and rest, which is about halfway through the ride. Technical support is also provided on the route if needed.  The ride starts at 7:00 a.m.

44-Mile Ride:

Not ready for the metric century?  This out and back will fill the ticket.  The ride starts at 8:00 a.m. 

Cochise-Vista Ride:

A 20-mile bicycle ride around Sierra Vista on the newly designated Cochise-Vistas Bicycle Route. This casual ride for all level of riders takes place on multi-use paths and when not on a multi-use path most roads are striped with a bike lane. The ride starts at 8:30 a.m.

Fun Ride:

A 5-mile fun ride in Sierra Vista on the Country Club fitness loop. Bring the entire family for this comfortable ride on all multi-use path. The ride starts at 9:00 a.m.

Packet pick-up and on-site registration:  

Day Before Rides: Friday, September 28, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Windemere Hotel Lobby

Day of Rides:  Saturday Morning September 29, 6:00 - 6:45 a.m.

Metric Century ride start: 7 a.m.

40-mile start: 8:00 a.m.

20-mile start: 8:30 a.m

5-mile fun ride start: 9:00 a.m.

Additional parking is available across the road at the Mall of Sierra Vista.
