_ The 2019 Deuces Wild Endurance Festival:
The Deuces Wild Endurance Festival was started in 2004 and is produced by TriSports Racing, a non-profit 501(c)(3). The 16th Annual Deuces Wild Triathlon Festival takes place in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona. Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area is a perfect venue for this race. The backdrop of pines overlooking Fool Hollow Lake, along with the proximity of the city of Show Low, makes this an ideal location for triathlons and running events.
The cool mountain temperatures have proven to attract a large number of triathletes from Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, California and beyond! Multiple race distances (triathlon and running) provide many options for the participants making this a staple race for many athletes and their families. With full support and partnership with the City of Show Low, Arizona State Parks and the US Forest Service, we provide the ultimate racing experience, bringing athletes back year after year.
Swim: The swim happens in Fool Hollow Lake and water temperature for the race is between 58 & 65 degrees. Wetsuits are highly encouraged. We do abide by the USAT rules for wetsuit usage, which allows wetsuits to be used in water temperatures up to and including 78 degrees Farenheit. Between 78 and 84 degrees, wetsuits may be used, but participants will not be eligible for age group awards.
Bike: We offer several bike courses that take you through some of the most beautiful mountain country in the southwest.
Run: All run courses are in and around Fool Hollow Lake on pavement and mixed-use path.
Show Low is located in the Northeastern part of Arizona in Navajo County on U.S. 60, a short and scenic 3 hour drive from the Phoenix area and a 3 hour drive from Tucson. It is nestled in the tall pines of the Rim Country, 47 miles south of Holbrook and U.S. 40.
