Course Information:
Swim:
The 1.5 kilometer swim will be in Rancho Seco Lake with a beach start and finish.
The course will be clockwise direction and marked with large orange buoys.
It will be staffed by lifeguards in safety kayaks.
- - - Bike:
The bike course starts off within the park at Rancho Seco for the first 2 miles and then turns onto highway 104, monitored by CHP officers, for a 10 mile out and back loop.
After a left turn back into Rancho Seco Park you finish around the lake and back into transition area.
The bike course is fairly fast.
- - - Run:
The run heads out of the transition area along a grass path to a wide fire road that loops around the lake for about 2.5 miles before turning onto a wider dirt road and a short section on pavement.
The course then returns back towards the lake and onto a .5 mile single track section twisting through the grasslands for a little extra fun.
The course comes back onto the loop road around the lake and back to the transition area and finish.

Swim-Run Duathlon:
Back this year will be our Swim-Run Duathlon with a 1.5K swim followed by a 10K run.
The swim will be in Rancho Seco Lake, with its own wave start after the Tri for Real.
The run is a fun course with a mix of grass, trails, pavement and dirt.
- - - Awards:
First place Overall Male and Female in the Tri for Real Triathlon will receive Overall Champion Awards.
There will be awards five deep in each five-year age group for the Tri for Real Triathlon.
Relay Team awards will be for the top three teams in each division of Male, Female, and Coed Teams.
Series Champions will be awarded to for each age group comprising custom apparel and free entry to the 2010 Series.
