_ The 2018 FATS Flow Master XC MTB Race:

GENERAL INFO
-Race limited to 150 Racers by USFS.
-Registration deadline is October 3, 2018 unless max capacity has already been met.
-Entry Fee - Non-refundable. 
$50 plus processing fee until September 13, 2018.  
$65 plus processing fee from September 14, 2018 to registration deadline.
-100% of race proceeds benefit FATS and local trails ($6,400 raised in 2017 through race entries, donations, and sponsorships)
-Course includes Great Wall, Skinny, and Brown Wave trails, plus some gravel.
-Chip timing by Go Race Productions.
-1 aid station at 10 mile mark.
-Prizes and "trophies" awarded to top 3 Men and top 3 Women overall.
-Trophies for top 3 racers in each age category. 
-Commemorative Flow Master T-Shirt for all registrants.

SCHEDULE
-Early packet pickup will be available on Friday, October 12th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Andy Jordan's Bicycle Warehouse.
-Sign in and race number/chip pick up from 7:00am to 8:30am on raceday.
-Racer staging begins at 8:40am.
-Race starts at 9am.
-No on-site registration.
-Wet Trail Policy will be in effect.  Should weather or wet trail conditions keep the race from occurring, the Flow Master will be cancelled and no refunds will be given (remember, we're raising funds for trail repairs).  If weather is a threat, the decision to cancel the race will be made by Thursday, October 11th at 5pm.  This information will be posted on the official race site.

PARKING
-484 Woodlawn Road - Clarks Hill, SC 29821
-Parking is limited, so carpooling is strongly encouraged.
-Parking will be available in main lot.  Overflow parking will be available along one side of FS 662. 

FLOW MASTER RULES
*All riders are required to wear a helmet.
*It is recommended that all riders wear orange or other high visibility color due to hunting season.  Do not wear white.
*All riders are to be self-sufficient.
*Stay on the designated course and on the trail.
*Do not litter.
*The gravel roads are open to the public and may have traffic- proceed across the roads with caution.
*Race is completed when the racer crosses the finish line.
*Event Director will determine start time (approx 9:00 am).
*The rider with the fastest time wins.
*If someone has crashed & needs help, help them.
*Slower riders yield to faster riders. When passing, give directions, e.g. "rider on your left".
*Course marshals will be at various road crossings and on the trail.
*We are here to have fun and raise money! If somebody has problems, help them so they can continue to ride. You may need their help later!
*You must finish the race on the same bike that you started the race on.
*Race can be ended due to trail conditions. Winners will be determined based on Race End Time.
*ALL riders must inform Event Director when dropping out of event.
*This is not a sanctioned event, USA Cycling rules do not apply.
*Event Director has final word on all decisions.
