_ The 2019 Newport Rhode Races:

Join us in the City-by-the-Sea for this stunning marathon, half marathon and 5k.  Newport Rhode Races kicks off Daffodil Days with the races starting from Easton's Beach where nearly 100,000 daffodils will be in bloom. (We'll call it Dash through the Daffodils!)

The Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Easton's Beach in Newport, RI. The Tufts Health Plan Half Marathon will start at 7:45 a.m. from the same location.  The 5k will follow at 8:00 am - all from the same beautiful seaside start. 

The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.

Please respect our native environment - STAY OFF THE DUNES, use trash receptables, and recycle as much as possible. 

Please Note: Newport Rhode Races will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason. In the event that weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

There are no age restrictions but you must show your ID when picking up your bib.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking is available in Middletown and participants will be shuttled to the start.  THERE IS NO PARKING at the race site. Please arrive early enough to park, load the shuttles and get settled before race day.  Marathon parking is at 2nd Beach, Tufts Half Marathon and 5k parking is at the Aquidneck Corporate Park.  Shuttles will take runners and spectators, with runners having 1st priority.  SHUTTLE BUSES WILL SHUT DOWN AT 7am.  Please arrive EARLY as not all participants will fit on those last buses.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, you can transfer your bib or defer your race entry within one year to any race in our race portfolio. Transfers and Deferral requests must be received before on line registration closes, typically 2 days before race day.  Please visit this linkto learn more about this procedure.  

Can I update my registration information?

Yes - you can revisit your account at any time and update your registration information.

Where and when is packet pick up?

Times are located on our website at this link.. Please note - NEW for 2019 - race packets MUST be picked up in advance of race day unless you have reserved RACE DAY packet pick up during the registration process.
