Youth Race: The Just Tri It Youth Triathlon is a fun and challenging event for kids ages 5–14. Young athletes will swim, bike and run in this 3-event race that not only promotes fitness but improves your child's self confidence as they cross the finish line on their own. Kids 5-10y do 50y swim, 2.4mi bike, 0.5mi run; kids 11-14y do 100y swim, 4.5mi bike, 1mi run. A great introduction to the sport, the race will be held in and around City Park. The swim will take place in the lap pool at City Park followed by the bike leg which will circumnavigate the park on road lanes closed to traffic, ending with a run course that will use the internal park roads. The park will provide a safe venue for the athletes as there will be no traffic within the park, and none of the three events of the race will cross each other. The transition area will be in the parking lot of the pool house and we strongly encourage friends and family to come cheer on these young competitors for one of the best spectator events of the season. Adult race: The adult race has recently been added to provide a well-run event to the triathlon calendar that is equally suitable for beginners and veterans. This race starts with a pool swim 400m long course (8 x 50m serpentine) swim, followed by a mostly flat 12-mi out-and-back bike, capped off by a flat and fast 5K run.
