_ The 2018 Duxbury Beach Triathlon:

The swim takes place in Duxbury Bay. For 2018 we will be using our alternate shore-line swim course which will start north of the Powder Point Bridge and exit nearest the transition area. Water tempuratures average 68-72 degrees. 5-6 waves will enter beginning at 8:00am and are seperated by 3-minute intervals. ALL swimmers must be electronically checked-in by timing mat while flowing through corrals with their corresponding wave. Do not miss your assigned wave check-in, you will have to swim with the next wave if you are late. 13 mile rolling, mostly out and back bike course, 3.1 mile run crossing Powder Point bridge, which is closed to vehicle traffic, one of the most scenic runs on the east coast. Please be advised that wetsuits are mandatory unless permission to do otherwise is granted through the Race Director.

REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds given unless event is sold out. Also, Duxbury Beach Triathlon has NO affiliation with any providers of refund services.

FREE Parking on race day at both Duxbury Beach Park (Blakeman's lot at end of Gurnet Road) and Duxbury High School (St. George St)! Duxbury Beach Triathlon is covering the cost to athletes at DBP. Please use which ever location gets you to the race on time! 

Friday, September 21, 4:30-7pm at Kingsbury Club, Kingston, MA, 186 Summer Street. Packet pick up also on race day, 5:45-7:15 AM. Race start 8:00AM.

All participants must have their ID and USAT annual membership card (if applicable) to pick up their race packet.

Participants are encouraged to use Gurnet Road for Saturday beach access. Avoiding vehicle usage of historic Powder Point Bridge is recommended in order to preserve future use for everyone of this unique bridge. Race day use is prohibited! There is NO parking and NO drop-off allowed at the main lot on race day! Anyone arriving after 7:00AM will be charged a parking fee at Duxbury Beach Park.

Transition area closes at 7:45AM. ALL individual athletes must exit transition at this time. 

Wetsuits are mandatory for ALL swimmers, no exceptions. You will not be allowed to participate if you arrive at the swim start without a wetsuit.
