_ The 2018 Big Red Challenge 5K & 10K:
Big Red Challenge is a 5K and 10K obstacle course race series designed by the Marine Corps League – Cornhusker Detachment 370 and Ironhide Construction, Inc to push you to your limits and give you a feel for what challenges members of the military encounter on a day-to-day basis.
Veterans & Active Duty can register for $10 until May 19th!
Feeling Competitive? Register for the 10K Elite to be eligible for prizes!
1st place: $500, Big Red Challenge Shield, Medal, and entry into next race
2nd place: $300, Medal, and entry into next race
3rd place: $200, Medal and entry into next race
Runners in the 10K Elite division will be given a wristband at packet pick-up to wear during the race. Failure to complete an obstacle will result in cutting of the wristband and the runner will no longer be eligible for prizes.
*Note: Female Elite runners will be given two wristbands with the ability to fail one obstacle and still be in the running for prizes.
Ultimately Big Red Challenge race day is a day to come out and celebrate and honor our veterans. A portion of the net proceeds goes back to veteran nonprofits.
Course Information:
Some parts on the road and some parts off-road. Runners can choose from our 10K Elite Competitive Division, 10K Non-Competitive Division, 5K Non-Competitive Division, and Lil' Red Challenge Kids Run.
