_ The 2018 Smile Train Sprint Triathlon:
Sunday June 24, 2018 will be the 11th running of our little neighborhood race! The Rho Smile Train Triathlon, presented by Dr. Melissa C. Davidian, was the first triathlon in the world to benefit Smile Train - the world's largest cleft lip and palate charity.
What makes this race special? We send 100% of the athlete registration fees to Smile Train. Since 2008, we've generated over $300,000 in donations to Smile Train! Help make a difference by registering to participate, giving your time as a volunteer, buying some Smile Train Tri gear, or just making a donation. It all helps make this event a success for everyone - but especially for Smile Train.
Course Information:
• The swim will take place in the Heritage Swim Club lap pool located adjacent to the Sales Center. The transition area will be in the larger parking lot a very short distance from the pool entry. The bike course is a technical course that will present some nice flats, a few small climbs, and excited spectators. To finish the race, athletes will enjoy a 5k (3.1 mile) run through the neighborhoods in the northern most parts of Heritage Wake Forest. There will be a water station at the mid-point of the run. The race will finish up near the transition area.
