_ 2018 Dream Big 5K: Run, Walk, Roll
Join us for the 2nd Annual Dream Big 5K and fun run: adaptive race for folks of all ages and abilities! Come run, walk or roll with us, whether it’s your first 5K or you are trying to set that personal record! The flat course begins and ends at Essex Middle School, winding through surrounding neighborhoods. It is wheelchair and stroller-friendly. Everyone receives a ribbon for participating, a race t-shirt (guaranteed to all racers registered before April 1st), swag bag, and special recognition for top 3 finishers in each division.
The race will be professionally timed, and USATF certified.
Each participant will receive a swag bag and be eligible for a bib raffle with additional prizes after the race!
We welcome runners, walkers, wheelchairs, power mobility and handcycles.
Race Day Schedule
8:00-9:45am: Registration & Bib pick up at Essex Middle School
10:00am: 5k Start
11:00am: Fun Run Start
Awards and Bib Raffle immediately following Fun Run.
Course Information:
The race will begin at Essex Middle School, turn left onto Sand Hill Road and continue to Tanglewood where it will turn left again, making a loop through the Tanglewood and Glenwood neighborhoods and return via the same route. It is a flat, out-and-back course with one water stop at the turn around point. USATF certification is pending, and will be complete before race day.
