Hammer Sprint / Olympic Triathlons & Duathlon benefit the Loudon County Animal Shelter in memory of a special dog named “HAMMER”. These early season USAT sanctioned events are in their 18th year in 2018. Come out for a great cause and test your off-season work! TVA Tellico Recreation area is our host for these great early season events.

Late registration & packet pickup is Saturday from 5 PM to 6:30 PM and Sunday from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM - location: TVA Tellico Recreation area, directions below. Race walk through Saturday at 6 PM at race site. Arrive at site race day Sunday no later than 7 AM EST for ample time for parking, packet pickup and getting ready for event starting promptly at 8 AM EST.

Choose either a 400 meter or 1.5K swim in the triathlons or 5K run in the duathlon. Each event is followed by a 16 mile or 40K bike and 5 K or 10K run. Triathlon - Swim in the cool, clear Tellico Lake. Water is expected to be wetsuit legal. Same bike and run courses are used in Triathlon and duathlon. Duathlon: Both run courses use the TVA Tellico Recreation roads and paths for the 5K runs. Athlete Amenities - race packets will include: race technical t-shirt, ESM water bottle, ESM socks, ESM swim cap (tris - must be worn). FINISHER MEDALS for all finishers. Post race food & door prizes from sponsors to be announced.  

RACE LOCATION: The Tellico Recreation Area is located outside Lenoir City, TN just off Rt. 321/95 on Rt. 444 - Tellico Parkway. Lenoir City is about 30 miles Southwest of Knoxville. From I-75 exit #81 take Rt. 321/95 towards Maryville approx. 4 miles to exit for Rt. 444 Tellico Parkway. The exit is to the RIGHT just after crossing the Fort Loudon Dam. The Tellico Recreation Area is straight ahead - look for banner. Please park in the field to the left or follow signs for spots right behind transition area.

Endurance Sports Management has a NO REFUND policy. This is based on our pricing structure to provide 15% of GROSS REVENUES to our charity partners. Insurance is available during the registration of each event. Please take advantage of this option should you wish to insure your entry fees.

Event Cancellation / Modification Policy - If Natural Disaster or Community Disaster occurs, our action steps are as follows:

1. Endurance Sports Management in concert with local officials will make decisions based on safety first. 2. Courses and/or race segments will be altered as agreed to between Endurance Sports Management and local officials 3. Financial: It is not financially feasible for Endurance Sports Management to accept the risk of a disaster for everyone. Each registered participant needs to accept the risk of his or her entry fee. There will be NO REFUNDS or free entries to future races. The money you paid is spent developing the subject event. 4. Endurance Sports Management does not save any money if one of our events has to be canceled for reasons beyond our control. All supplies and services needed for the events are purchased and/or arranged in advance. All event supplies and services associated with that event must be paid for, regardless of the outcome.

Event Shirts - Event shirts are NOT guaranteed to participants registering within 2 weeks of each event. Please register prior to 2 weeks prior to guarantee your race shirt.
