_ The 2018 US Open Triathlon:
The cities of Rockwall & Heath, TX are the hosts of this USA Triathlon-sanctioned event that starts with a swim in beautiful Lake Ray Hubbard at Rockwall Harbor. The bike course travels through Rockwall and Heath, with the run and finish line on the lakefront.
With Olympic, Sprint and Super Sprint,Youth and our all new MegaSprint courses this event provides distances for every caliber triathlete from newbie to elite-level, this enlivened event is a late season must-do.
Close your racing season with a fun race and great Texas hospitality. See you in Texas on October 14th!
Event details and schedule
Course Overview:
Swim: The swim will be in the calm waters on the east side of Lake Ray Hubbard at the marina of Rockwall Harbor, showcasing the harbor.
The transition area is on the grass park to the south of the swim exit. Participants will use the SwimStream™ start system developed by Pacific Sports.
Bike: The bike course will be on rolling terrain incorporating the roads of Rockwall and Heath Texas.
The Olympic Course is 2 loops of the course.
The SuperSprint and Sprint courses are 1 loop.
Run: The run course will be in the Rockwall Harbor area with the finish near the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront.
There is a limit of 1,500 triathletes.
All participants receive:
Custom-designed t-shirt
Custom-designed finisher medal
Post-race food/beverage
All athletes must agree to the following policies when registering:
NO refunds, deferrals, rollovers or bib transfers (except for active duty military). There are NOexceptions.
Fees listed do not include the Active Network processing fee, nor do they include a $15 1-day license fee for non-USAT Members. Each participant MUST have a valid USAT license (or they purchase a $15 one-day license).
