2011 Rocky Mountain Triathlon at Silverthorne:

  • Join us for the inaugural Rocky Mountain Triathlon at Silverthorne July 31st, 2011!
  • Race in the shadows of the Gore Range and along the beautiful Blue River.
  • The swim, bike and run courses make this one of the most breathtaking triathlons in the World.
  • Test your lungs with the International Distance Triathlon (800m swim, 20 mile bike, 4 mile run).
  • Or try your speed at the Sprint Distance Triathlon (400m swim, 12 mile bike, 3.1mile run).

    • Course Information:


    Swim:
  • The swim is a triangle (all left turns) for both distances.
  • The Sprint is one lap.
  • The International is two laps.

    Bike:
  • The bike course is an out an back for both distances in the shadows of the beautiful Gore range.
  • The Sprint course goes north on Hwy 9 for six miles and back down to the transition.
  • The International course heads north for 10 miles and returns back down Hwy 9 to the transition area.

    Run:
  • The run course is a beautiful loop course along the Blue River.
  • Enjoy the sounds of the river, the shade of the aspens and the serenity of the mountains.
  • This is truly an amazing course.

    • Directions:


  • From Interstate 70, head north on Hwy 9 four miles.
  • North Pond Park will be on the East side of HWY 9.
  • Parking is at the Silverthorne Elementary School.
  • Start, finish, transition and packet pick up are all at the North Pond Park.
